Healthiest ISU Initiative

In 2011, Iowa made a 5-year commitment towards becoming the healthiest state in the country.  Iowa State University has embraced this vision and has formed a campus group called Healthiest ISU Initiative to help support efforts by ISU faculty, staff, and students to adopt and maintain healthy lifestyles. The campus programming is linked to the broader efforts of the Healthiest Ames Initiative to promote a healthier community.

The NWRC helped plan and coordinate the annual Healthiest State Walk on October 3rd, 2012. During the event, 650 participants walked one of seven 1-kilometer routes spread across campus.
